Structured Daily Schedule (9am-3:30pm)

The Barnyard daily schedule offers a balance between teacher-directed and child-choice activities. We follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum that includes children’s literature, science, art, music, dramatic play, gardening, calendar, weather, and pre-reading, writing, and math skills. We find ourselves inside and outside depending upon the activity and the weather. Sometimes we are clean and sometimes we are messy!

Pre-Primary Program

Our class activities are built around activities that keep our Barnyard kids safe and are developmentally appropriate for their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth. We promote hands-on learning through self-initiated activity. Our teachers act as facilitators, offering gentle helping guidance. The barnyard kids are encouraged to independently and freely create and explore while engaging in a diverse offering of rotating learning activities. This classroom is geared to the needs of the younger preschooler, and enhances their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth.

Primary Program

Our class activities are built around activities that keep our Barnyard kids safe and are developmentally appropriate for their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth. This classroom is active and busy with activities and learning for our older barnyard kids. Guided by their own curiosity and interests, children can choose between a variety of activities and educational material. Our primary teachers facilitate this learning process by introducing new activities and educational material.

Toilet Training

We are happy to work with our families to help the Barnyard kids through their toilet training phase.
